Whether you are a brand new beginner or looking to re-discover an instrument you may have studied previously, learning piano is one of the great joys of any music lovers life. I work with my students to create meaningful goals and learn a repertoire of songs they love to play. Because I come from a classical background, I do incorporate technical studies in all my lessons to work on finger dexterity and independence. For new music readers, it is important to include appropriate level songs that help students to learn the new language of musical notation. Learning popular songs or a favorite song of any genre also helps motivate any student!
